The Nevers cast member Nick Frost has been making the rounds promoting his new sitcom Truth Seekers ahead of its October 30th premiere.
Truth Seekers is an eight episode horror-comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see.
His next job is to get back on set to complete The Nevers, the HBO sci-fi drama spearheaded by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. Though production halted during lockdown, Frost is looking forward to returning to the fold: “I’m still a fanboy, and to have him direct me… there’s still a part of me that squeals inside and thinks, ‘That’s the man who invented Buffy!’ It’s more anxiety, to be back acting, but I’m happy that I get to do it with one of my heroes.”
Frost will play Declan Orrun, aka The Beggar King. His character is described as charismatic and brutal. He runs – or has a piece of – most of the low-level criminal activity in the city. He’s more than happy to help out Amalia and her cause – and just as happy to sell them out.
The Nevers resumed filming last month after being shut down for half a year due to the COVID pandemic. Shooting is currently underway in London and the southern coast of England.
Frost's comments echo that of his fellow cast members who, as mentioned in my last post, have been praising showrunner Joss Whedon's collaborative set and are enjoying filming the series.
Episode 22 of The Nevers Podcast will be discussing the latest Nevers news and spotlighting the actors and creatives behind the cameras, so keep a look out for that episode arriving later this week.
All eight episodes of Truth Seekers will be available to watch beginning Friday, October 30th on Amazon Prime Video.
